Hello, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 3rd October. The New Moon of last Saturday continues to permeate into this week. Close as this was to forging a helpful link to the structural influence of Saturn, this week sees the Sun and Saturn really well aligned from Monday through to Saturday. A fine time to try to have constructive conversations about relationships of all kinds. It's also possible that some kind of influential adviser can play a role.

What we need to do however, is to resist trying too hard. With Mars forging a right angle to Jupiter all week, there can be a sense of invincibility or overconfidence which could be a liability. Both are located in Cardinal signs, but no amount of relentless charm (Jupiter) can shift the more businesslike Mars (Capricorn) to cave in to ill thought through plans, so we will need to be realistic in our interactions and especially in the worldly or professional sphere.

This push and pull between the "reasonableness" of Libra, and of "worldly expectations", is also underlined by the tense square between the Sun (Libra - innate energy) and Pluto (Capricorn - power and the orthodox), which goes on from Tuesday to Sunday. A fair amount of tact is going to be needed and self discipline if we are to maintain good relations both at home and at work. If you are more of a relator and encounter people who are more hidebound, but ones who refuse to budge from their position or demands, this can be very underwhelming. Then again, if playing by the rules is more your thing, if you encounter someone who seems "overly diplomatic" you may wonder what their true motives are.

Fortunately, Mercury arrives in Libra on Friday, and this will enable more detached and objective conversations. Monday to Friday also sees Venus forge a fine angle, ironically, to Pluto, which can see the really meaningful ties in our world, get closer. With Mars being softened by the gentle wash of Neptune from Thursday, we all need to try and put stubborn and more egotistical tendencies to one side, and find a way to reach common ground.
