Hello and welcome to the Spirit Guides.co.uk network radio show with your host, Mark Chatterton. Tonight we would like to welcome onto the show, Barbara Meiklejohn-Free, who is also known as the Highland Seer. Many of you listening will be familiar with Barbara’s work, from the many Mind, Body and Spirit events that Barbara appears at. Barbara has many talents including being a seer, shaman, medium, high priestess, healer, singer, drummer, dancer and story teller, to name but a few. So a warm welcome to you Barbara.

You come from Inverness, in the north of Scotland and you knew from an early age about Spirit. How did this affect you growing up? As I understand you were bullied by other children because of this.

When you were twelve, you met a man called Swein MacDonald, who was known as the Highland Seer, who had a great influence on you. Is this where you got the title of Highland Seer from?

What does a seer do?

In your book, “The Heart of All Knowing”, which came out in 2007, you tell us that you were adopted, but you were eventually reunited with your birth mother. As an experience did this help or hinder you?

You left home at the age of fifteen, which was when you were raped at knife point. As a result, you tried to kill yourself on three different occasions. The third time led you to being rescued in a quite, fantastic way. Could you tell us what happened here.

As you grew older, you learnt about the various Shamanic teachings from around the world and in particular those from the Native American Indian tradition. Could you tell us a little about what you do as a Shaman, because several of the workshops that you lead are based on shamanic practises.

You also mention in your book about Rites of Passage into adulthood that many young people nowadays seems to miss out on. What do you think we should be doing to help our young people in this area?

On your website, it says that you are a High Priestess of Isis. Obviously there’s a strong connection, between you and Egypt. Why is this so?

I see from your website that on 21st December 2012, you will be leading a
special tour of Egypt, which includes undertaking some sacred rituals whilst you’re there.

Getting back to your book, you talk about the Twin Flame that all of has. For you it is your husband David, who you met out in Hawaii. It’s a wonderful story

You are now based in Buxton in Derbyshire, where you have a shop called Arnemetia’s. Is there any reason why you are based in Buxton and could you tell us a little about your shop?

You have visited many lands across the world and experienced all sorts of different spiritual traditions. Would you say anyone place resonates with you, or do you have an affinity with most of them?

I know you’ve written an article on 2102, which has recently been published in Prediction magazine, but could you briefly tell us what your take on 2012 is?

I understand that you have another book coming out soon. Can you tell us a little bit about that.

For the next few months, I take it you’ll be your usual busy self?
