Better Place
It’s quiet now,
There’s perfect peace,
I’ve done my time, I’ve been released,
And now I have my wings I’m free,
In a better place for me.
I have new strength,
And courage too,
To climb these stairs away from you,
I’ll never leave your hearts I know,
But onto a better place I go.
And what a life,
I’ve laughed and loved,
Been truly blessed, more than enough,
Such memories I have to take,
Along with me to a better place.
I love you all,
My family,
My friends and all who cared for me,
And I’ll watch over you and wait,
‘Til we meet again in a better place.
