Ego celebrates Christmas. (lets stand up to him Annielise Stone)
Ego enjoyed Christmas him and his friends greed, envy and jealously always seemed to have a good time causing mischief. They never seemed to be hungry of thirsty for there was always plenty of human’s to feed them often to bursting point.
Ego had recently discovered that he could use most of the elements to feed his cravings and habit.
Recently he had conned the mountain to blow his top and set another element against each other. By chance he had come across a marvellous book called Animal Farm by George Orwell Animal Farm by George Orwell. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.” “Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. The story of how the animals over throws the farmer to take control of the farm yard and then they all end up fighting to be better and in charge this story had him full for days. No wonder that Ego had his fill.
Ego looked down into another farm in another town and watched and waited. He laid out his table set down his knife and fork filled his glass with fresh water and watched for his supper to be cooked.
He planned also his friends greed envy and jealously. He felt that they all would soon being enjoying a marvellous evening with the Christmas Holidays in full swing and New Year round the corner plenty of things to keep them full well into the coming year.
Today his victims were Turkey, Cow, Sheep and Chicken. (He tasted enough pig)
Turkey was new to the farm yard he was soon strutting around with its chest and full feathers like a peacock in full bloom. He was boasting that he was the most important meal at Christmas he was on every table. Chicken was wiser she was in no rush to be on any table or anyone’s dinner she had been fortunate that her owner saw as person she was valued. The chicken or Dianne as she was called has considered herself to be very lucky and loved she valued life she respected others and was wise to envy, she tried to avoid jealously and greed caused nothing but pain.
Quietly, Dianne sat in the dirt behind the hen house and watched and waited.
In the meantime Turkey poked cow in the ribs which was incredibly brave or somewhat stupid.
“I bet you’re jealous” said Turkey I am on every table at Thanks Giving. I am also on their tables again at Christmas you however spend your day eating grass giving milk some eat beef and the rest of you ends up as shoe leather I am the Nations Choice. Cow mood and mood she was angry and jealous she wanted to be important. Ego whispered Cow in some countries you are sacred. Animals bow down to you. Cow moved to find Turkey.
Ego approached Sheep your wool is so soft your coat makes so many wonderful things scarves and jumpers coats and your meat is so sweet Cow should move over. Sheep bleated she too was jealous and envious of Cow and Turkey.
Dianne remembered when she was small just and egg and nearly scrambled. If it wasn’t for the kindness of and old hen she would have been beaten or even and omelette. The old hen was lonely all her children were taken every day by the farmer. She wanted to be Mum. She hid Dianne deeply under her feathers and it was a cold wet day and she sat firm. The Gods smiled sweetly that day and fortunately Sarah the farmer’s daughter was helping her father and saw the baby Chick fresh and fluffy Dianne was born.
“Daddy, the girl beamed Daddy please can we keep it? “
“I call her Dianne” “Now poppet food is food” was his reply.
But Daddy the child persisted I will look after her she will earn her keep and give lovely eggs just like her mum.
Dianne was saved she learnt from her mother very quickly how the food chain worked. They did not tend to eat pets and for that reason as long as she was kind loving, not greedy, become envious or jealous of others her life would be good.
Chickens were eaten just as cows, lambs, and pig’s sheep. It did not matter who was on the Christmas table. It did you no good to be jealous of the Turkey for he was being fattened up to be eaten. It was no good being envious of the Cow who udders hurt twice a day full of milk who watched her calf being taken to market. It did not matter that sheep made the best wool for in the winter she carried around a huge fleece it kept her warm, she had her lambs and still remembered their faces up to 18 months later knowing going down to the fields they be gone. In fact better to be a dog or a cat at least they had a chance.
Ego slipped quietly away. The Turkey stopped and shook his head in shame the cow walked off ringing her bell and the sheep ran at envy and greed.
Ego was not going to get this Christmas fill. Every day greed envy and jealously enters the realm it’s also enters the world it does not need a language it speaks the voice of greed it plays on jealously it sneaks in envy and spite and enjoys being nasty. Rich or Poor, Man or Woman. Animal or Mineral.
Let’s try not to let it in too often especially at Christmas when we try to say “Good Will to all Men, Women, Children Animals and Minerals”. (And don’t forget the vegetables and fruits.)
A Christmas wish for you all.
Hope for a brighter New Year and Peace on Earth.
Love to all Annielise 2016
